20th Anniversary Fishing Derby
What a great day it was to have our 20th anniversary fishing derby! The sun was shining and the fish were biting. We had all 10 contestants attend the derby today calling for some stiff competition! There were a total of 10 fish weighed in.
The winner of the derby was Dave Phillips weighing in a 12.2lb Salmon caught in Oak Bay Flats! A Silver Horde Coho Killer hooked the winning Salmon. Dave took home 1 Islander MR3 Mooching Reel, 1 Babcock Custom Sage Rod, 2 PENN Squall Halibut Combos and some assorted lures!
As well as he gets to book a 2 night 2 day stay in our Beach Camp House located in Port Renfrew with 2 days of fishing out of Pacific Gateway Marina.
We would like to thank The Zone and The Q for being apart of our 20th anniversary derby, as well as the Flying Otter Bar & Grill for providing the contestants, guides and radio staff with a fantastic lunch after the derby!
